A note to stupid self
For the day, I have
lazed,
Quite completely unfazed,
From my bed, I did not raise,
Silly plans set ablaze.
In the hour that I
did wander,
For the while, I had to ponder,
My instincts do still warn,
But ignored for me to mourn.
Into adventure, a
risk to take,
My resolve I easily break,
A quota of steps to reach,
A lesson to me I teach.
The things that so
appear,
In which we should be aware,
Sometimes are too concealed,
You’re lost when it’s revealed.
Chance can let one’s
guard down,
Hindsight then makes you frown,
Once again you are a fool,
For breaking your own rule.
